How to Pass Time
Use the Bed
Will doesn't actually need to sleep, and there is no underlying stamina mechanic or something similar.
Keep in mind that:
- Will cannot sleep during the daytime
- If you entered a dungeon in the evening and exited in the day, Will still cannot sleep on the bed
Exiting a Dungeon
The other way to pass time is to enter a dungeon and immediately go back home using the Pendant. This is particularly useful if you want to pass the day and the bed isn't usable.
Why Pass Time?
Opening the Shop and Selling Relics
Will can only open the shop and sell relics during the daytime.
Reaching Calendar Events
Certain events happen on specific days, like increased prices for relics or named NPCs visiting the shop.
Refreshing the NPC Interactions
NPCs can only interact once per day cycle, so passing the time updates their status. Very useful when completing quests.
Triggering Events and NPC Quests
Certain events and NPC interactions rely on day cycles, like Julien being normal during daytime and becoming strange during nighttime.
