Shop Keeping Guide

Shop Perks Grants Buffs to Current Day's Shop Opening

Shop Perks
Shop Perks are given by K33P3R and can be activated mid-operations to grant buffs to your shop keeping. Some perks lets you get more tips while other perks lets you get massive multipliers temporarily. Use these perks to ramp up your sale in a single day. A list of all the relic's prices can be found in our Relics Price Guide page.

Shop Perks are Not Retroactive

Some perks that lets you get more sale per X type of relics are not retroactive. This means that perks that grant you 10% more gold per common relics will only start building its 10% bonus after activating the perk.

Bloblets Must be Pet to Activate Their Effects

Mr. Spots
After completing the "Fleeing Little Rascal" quest, you'll get the ability to put a Bloblet into your shop. Pet the bloblet to activate the Bloblet's effect. Try to use the Bloblet's effect when it is most beneficial like a Bloblet that lets you gain 50% price multiplier is best used when selling high rarity relics or legendaries.

The Shop Can be Upgraded As the Story Goes

Ready to Upgrade the Shop Ms Scratch
Your shop can gain more display cases and a larger area once upgraded. Ms. Scratch will appear outside the Moonlighter whenever How to Expand the Shop is possible. Not only does your shop gain more display cases, K33P3R can also get more upgrades and inventory slots.

Relics Have 3 Price Range and is Marked When Found

Price Stamps
A relic have three price range which are cheap, perfect, and expensive. A relic will have a stamp appear on it to indicate if that's the highest possible price you can ask for from a relic relative to its range.

Cheap will have a yellow stamp, perfect will have green, and expensive will have red. Any price sold after a relic's expensive stamp, will be considered overpriced.

Dungeon and Combat Guide

There are 3 Dungeons with 2 Realms

Dungeon Portal
In Moonlighter 2, there are 3 main dungeons with 2 realm options inside it. Each dungeon's second realm is significantly more difficult than its first realm and can only be unlocked mostly after defeating the first's dungeon boss.

It's highly recommended to focus on doing the first realms of every dungeon first while focusing on upgrades to make your future runs much smoother.

Every Dungeon Will Have Two Perk Types

2 Perks
When starting a dungeon run, each dungeon will have 2 possible perks to get during the run. These are randomized and certain perks works better for certiain types of equipment so condier the existing dungeon perks and plan your route with this in mind.

Enemies That Turn Purple Are Ruptured

Ruptured
Rupture is the state that enemies will enter a dark-purplish color where they become vulnerable from a backpack attack. A Backpack attack on a ruptured target will send them flying away, you can use this to throw enemies into eachother or simply knock them into walls to deal damage.

Objects Can Also Be in a Rupture

Rupture Projectiles
You may notice certain projectiles that have the same color as enemies in a rupture state. These projectiles are indeed, in ruptured and can be knocked back with your backpack.

Certain Upgrades Can Modify Your Dungeon Runs

Onsen Room
Some upgrades can change how your dungeon delving run. Eris can create Onsen rooms that will let you heal before the dungeon's boss or a potion room to get an extra potion during your run.

Relics and Curses Guide

Each Relic Have Curses Tied to Its Dungeon

There are 3 dungeons and each dungeon have their own curses associated with it. Kalina is focused on burns and armor to damage and protect relics, The Gallery charges relics to increase its quality but overcharging destroys relics, and Aeolia petrifies relics to absorb its quality.

Understand the curses and its synergies to maximize the relic's quality during your runs.

A Relic's Curse is not Randomized Save for Pointers

Each relic will always have its set curse tied to it and is not randomized. This means that there are certain relics that are great to have just to boost other relic's quality most of the time like a relic that increases its own quality every time its burned and getting relics that can burn it.

Relics Can be Found in Treasure Rooms, Boss Rooms, and The Colosseum

Treasure Chest
There are three main ways to get relics.

Treasure Rooms

The standard method are treasure rooms, these are nodes found during your choices when exploring a dungeon. Defeating all the enemies in the room will let you open the chest and obtain all the relics contained in the chest save for the high rarity relic in which, you can only obtain 1 of the choices.

Dungeon's Final Boss Room

The next ones is the Boss Room, after defeating the dungeon's final boss, you'll be able to get a high rarity relic. After completing the Endless Vault III, a chest will contain a Legendary Relics.

The Greed Colosseum Rewards

Lastly, is the Colosseum that can only be accessed after completing Endless Vault V onwards which is another realm filled with high difficulty enemies and can only be entered after defeating the dungeon's final boss.

Beginner Tips

Play on Easy Difficulty

Moonlighter 2's harder difficulty options doesn't exactly increase the difficulty, instead, it increases the enemy's HP massively which turns dungeon exploration into a long grind.

Without upgrades, we do not recommend playing on higher difficulties at all, easy difficulty gives a great chance to farm materials and upgrades and allows you to gauge if you want to bump the game's difficulty higher or not after achieving the said upgrades.

Avoid Using Relic Curses Immediately

unused curses
Curses don't always have to be activated immediately. You can place curses on tiles that will prevent you from activating the relic's curse. Doing this will let you gauge the best time to activate a curse such as burning a relic when you have a different relic that can activate its effect when burning it our a different relic is burned.

Utilize the Dungeon's Interactables

The three dungeons have their own unique interactables that can help you during your dungeon exploration. Kalina have the sun flowers that you can attack to summon thorns, The Gallery have tasers that stun enemies, and Aeolia can summon an ally that automatically shoots enemies.

Prioritize Dungeon Perks

Not only do perks activate their effects such as foam, bleed, etc. They also increase your damage output immediately. This double buff activation lets you breeze through dungeons, letting you take less damage and be prepared for the next rooms in a better state, which in turn, also lets you get higher rarity relics.
