Protocol Breaker is the Most Efficient

Protocol Breaker	Reduces your Attack combo by 1. Sharpness no longer increases Attack damage, but each level increases your Attack Finisher damage by +10%

Protocol Breaker reduces your attack combo from 2 normal attacks and 1 finisher to 1 normal attack and 1 finisher. While it doesn't increase your base damage via sharpness, the finisher is now stronger depending on how much sharpness you have.

Since the entire combo is now 1 hit shorter, you'll be able to use your finisher much faster which results in bigger damage chunks.

Merchant's Large Sword is a Close Contender

Merchant's Large Sword	While your Sharpness level is 1 or higher, increase your damage by +30%.

Despite being the starter large sword, the Merchant's Large Sword is the next best Large Sword in the game. Its base attack damage gets a major damage buff from having sharpness and the more sharpness you have, the harder your regular attacks hit.

It does require you to use special to recharge its special but the special can be mixed into the 3-hit combo so a natural combo of attack-special-attack can allow you to keep your sharpness level up permanently.
