While it does only work during Berserk, you want to activate Berserk during attack opportunities anyway and this damage buff lets you dish out insane amounts of damage in a short period.
Single Strike is a Safer Alternative

Using it right as your Berserk ends or at the last damage opportunity window gives you a big damage chunk that you won't otherwise, be able to do while using other Gauntlets and is a very great Gauntlet to consider equipping once you obtain and upgrade it.
