Shovel Sand Mounds Near Bodies of Water

Graveyard Keeper II Inquisitor Base Sand Location
Sand is usually found near large bodies of water. In the early parts of the game, you are pointed to the Inquisition Base's west, where a convenient sand mound is located near a river.

The sand mounds are infinite, so you can keep shoveling as long as you have energy.

One easy location is the sand mound directly west outside the inquisitor's base. More locations will be added once we find more areas to obtain sand.
