The main structure required to start creating Ink is the Writing Desk. This structure will let you create most objects involved in writing items.

Craft the Ink
Once you have the Writing Desk, you can now craft the Ink. To do so, you'll need to use 1 Ash, 1 Water, and 1 Melted Fat. Ash can be obtained by cremating zombies while Melted Fat can be obtained by processing fat in a distillation cube.
Water is the easiest material to secure, you can obtain it by using the well to the left of the inquisitor's base.
